研究生復試面試技巧
自我介紹。要求簡潔、有新意，能夠讓考官記住你。最重要的是，發(fā)音要準，不要太快，以別人聽懂為目的。但注意一定要聽考官的指示語，聽到考官說：Can you introduce yourself briefly/ say something about yourself后再開始。其實現(xiàn)在許多口語考試為了避免考生背誦準備好的自我介紹，都去除了這個部分，而是由一些簡單問題來代替，如：
Where are you from? Could you say something about your hometown?
Could you say something about your family?
What do you usually do in your leisure time?
What’s your favorite TV program?
Who is the most important person in your family?
"What would you like to be doing five years after graduation?"("在畢業(yè)以后5年內(nèi)你想做些什么?")
Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to others MBA about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particular company after graduation.
"I hope to do my best I can be at my job and because many in this line of work are promoted to area manager, I am planning on that also."
"What is your greatest strength"?" ("你最突出的優(yōu)點是什么?")
這是很多面試考官喜歡問的一個問題。這是你"展示自己"的最佳機會，不要吹噓自己或過于自負，但要讓考官知道你相信自己，你知道自己的優(yōu)點。如可答："我認為我最大的優(yōu)點是能夠執(zhí)著地盡力把事情辦好。當做完一個項目而其成果又正合我的預想時，我會有一種真正的成就感。我給自己定了一些高目標。比如說，我要成為出色的畢業(yè)生。盡管在大學一年級時我啟動慢了些，但最終我以優(yōu)等論文完成了學業(yè)。 "What is your greatest weakness?"("你最大的弱點是什么?")
你不應該說你沒有任何弱點，以此來回避這個問題;每個人都有弱點。最佳策略是承認你的弱點，但同時表明你在予以改進，并有克服弱點的計劃。
可能的話，你可說出一項可能會給公司帶來好處的弱點，如可說："我是一個完美主義者。研究做得不漂亮，我是不會撒手的。"
"How do you feel about your progress to date?" ("對于你至今所取得的進步你是怎樣看的?") Never apologize for what you have done.
"I think I did well in school. In fact, in a number of courses I received the highest exam scores in the class."
絕不要對你以前的所作所為表示內(nèi)疚。
如可答："我認為我在學校表現(xiàn)不錯。事實上，有好幾門功課我的成績居全班第一。
結束
考官明確說出：This is the end of the test, thank you。說明考試正式結束。站起來，拿好自己的東西，如準考證，與考官說再見：Thank you, goodbye.或Thank you for your interview goodbye.然后離開。注意考試結束后不要問老師關于得分的問題，應該馬上禮貌的離開。你為什么考我們這個學校？
這是在考查你對目標院校的了解情況。
答案要點：興趣+該校該專業(yè)名氣和實力+該專業(yè)老師的實力。
注意內(nèi)容
1、見到考官的第一句話，很關鍵，不用說的很復雜。可以是一個簡單句，但一定要展示出自信和實力。千萬不要來一句“sorry，my English is poor”。見面問候語：Good morning / afternoon, dear professors. I am XXX. (Nice to meet you。)。告別用語：Thanks for your time. / Thank you for giving such a chance. I hope to see you again and soon。
2、自我介紹篇(重點)�；旧厦總�院校每個專業(yè)的口試中都會涉及這一方面�？脊倨鋵嵤且璐肆私饽愕目陬^表達能力以及你的報名表之外的一些信息。自我介紹時間以2-3分鐘為宜。思路要清楚，要突出重點，口語盡量流利(不要太流利了，有背誦之嫌)。
1)考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用…let me introduce myself briefly / please allow me to introduce myself to you等句子，重復、啰嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入：Dear professors, I feel so glad to meet all of you here.然后就可以進入主題，介紹姓名、年齡等等。
2) 自我介紹的主體內(nèi)容
�、傩彰�。介紹自己姓名時，發(fā)音一定要準(南方考生要多加注意)。
�、谀挲g。年齡可以跟在姓名后帶過(I am XXX, 25 years old)。
�、墼瓉淼脑盒�、專業(yè)。注意：一定要把原來學校的英文名稱、專業(yè)的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業(yè)的學生)。
④性格、能力�？梢灾貜娬{(diào)你的個性對你報考的專業(yè)有何積極的作用。如果報考的是學術性的專業(yè)，可以說自己細心(carefully，detail-oriented)、條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)等;如果是研究性、應用性更強一點的專業(yè)，可以說自己負責(responsible)、可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。
其他的一些表示性格、能力的形容詞有：active, aggressive(有進取心的), adaptable, amicable(友好的), analytical(善于分析的), cooperative, creative, disciplined, dutiful, energetic, faithful, gentle, independent(有主見的), innovative, motivated, modest, objective, precise, punctual, precise(一絲不茍的), temperate等等。
在職考生或有過工作經(jīng)驗的考生還可以強調(diào)一下你的工作成績，如：As the assistant to the General Manger of XXX Company, I have helped to negotiate a $200,000 deal for the corporation.
�、輴酆�。All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.除了強調(diào)你的學習的重視，同時也要避免給考官一種“書呆子”的感覺。一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時要簡單說明這些愛好對你的積極意義(build my body, relax myself, open my mind…);注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的愛好，如：playing computer games，watching TV等。
�、弈銓罂嫉膶I(yè)有興趣(be interested in/be fascinated with/be obsessed with…)，可適當舉出一些例子，如經(jīng)�？聪嚓P的書籍、論文、文章、新聞等。在職考生可以強調(diào)知識教育對工作的影響：In my work, I find it necessary to broaden my horizons in communication. That’s why I long for entering your prestigious university.
3)結束時可以用說：That’s all about me. / Well, that’s who I am. Thanks for your attention.
3、關于自己家庭、家鄉(xiāng)、原來的學校的一些情況，尤其要注意原來學校的英文名稱。
2)家庭。需要注意的是，考官并不是為了做人口調(diào)查而提出這個問題的，所以應該避免流水賬似地介紹家庭成員;要盡量說明家人(尤其是父母)對你造成哪些方面(性格、職業(yè)規(guī)劃、做事風格等)良好的影響�？梢詤⒖家韵戮涫浇Y構：Just like my father, I am especially interested in history. / Though my father is an ordinary worker, his responsible attitude towards work has a great influence on me.
3)學校。如果是本�？忌脑�，在自我介紹中就可以點到(拉近跟考官的關系)。如果是外校，考官通常會問：Why did you choose our university?那么我們就可以說說它與報考院校之間的異同，然后說明為什么你選擇這個學校(I do love the atmosphere in your university. It is full of youthful spirits.);要注意的是：一定要說明你對在原來的院校接受教育心存感激之情appreciation(從好的方面說一說)，著重強調(diào)希望能被錄取，表達自己堅定的決心、展望一下未來。
4、未來規(guī)劃——學習規(guī)劃(研究生以后的方向)，人生規(guī)劃(短期、長期)
5、意外情況——沒聽清，你應該怎樣要求老師再說一遍(Pardon?/ Sorry, I can’t follow you. / Sorry, I lost you. Can you repeat that question again?);需要時間思考、整理思路的時候，不要出現(xiàn)沉默，可以用一些hmm, err, well等語氣詞;不會回答某些問題時，千萬不要不懂裝懂，可以明確地告訴老師你不知道(Sorry, but I have no idea about it。)。
6、跨專業(yè)問題——老師通常會對跨專業(yè)的學生問這樣一個問題：為什么會選擇這個專業(yè)?不要前篇一律地回答只說“我對這個專業(yè)感興趣”，可以把每個人都會談到的原因簡要地羅列一下，對具有自己特色的原因則可大談特談，詳細地闡述自己的觀點，讓老師印象深刻。
7、專業(yè)知識——在英語口試中(非英語專業(yè))，如果老師提問專業(yè)問題，通常不會指望你能進行流利的、專業(yè)性強的闡述;但是一些專業(yè)術語的英文說法還是有必要了解一下的。
8、提出問題——在面試快結束的時候，一般老師都會問，你有沒有什么要問的(Do you have any questions to ask?)。一般不適合說“I don’t have any question�！笨梢詥柨脊僖粌蓚�你關心的問題。
